What is crv?

Caiifornia Refund Value (CRV) is the amount paid by consumers at the checkout stand and paid back to consumers when they recycle eligible aluminum, plastic, glass and bi-metal beverage containers at certified recycling centers. The minimum refund value established for each type of eligible beverage container is 5 cents for each container under 24 ounces and 10 cents for each container 24 ounces or greater.

what do i need to recycle crv containers?

In compliance with CA State Law AB 1778, CRVF materials over $100 require a valid CA drivers license, valid CA I.D. card issued by DMV or valid government issued I.D. card containing a photograph and address.

Yes, in compliance with CA State Law, the daily load limit per vehicle or person are as follows: 

  •  Aluminum Cans – 100 lbs.
  • Plastic Bottles – 100 lbs.
  • Glass Bottles – 1000 lbs.
